The Looking Glass is an initiative towards integrating Arts and Education at the most natural, organic and humane level. Through Music, Dance, Theatre and Visual Arts, we endeavour to create an ambience that perpetuates the natural development of an individual, sensitising him/her, and ultimately helping the individual embark upon a journey to finding the Self.
The Looking Glass has undertaken Project 'Disney ABC' for Walt Disney as an annual activity for a social cause. The programme involves helping build life skills through arts based activities for the lesser privileged children of BMC Schools.
TLG's curriculum design provides BMC School children (the primary beneficiaries) opportunities that would never have been provided otherwise. The programme uses Visual Arts as the primary medium, but also involves introduction to Performing Arts. This engagement with the arts, allows children to explore their talents and learn newer things while having lots of fun!
The project comprises of the following stakeholders:
1) 741 BMC School children from Grades I, II, III and IV
2) 300+ Employees of Walt Disney
3) The Looking Glass along with its team of professionals.
In very simple terms, TLG team designs the curriculum spanning 15 sessions and works with the employees of Walt Disney to engage 741 lesser-privileged children spread over 2 BMC Schools.
We provide an opportunity for students like YOU to come join our team and intern with us, The Looking Glass.
We screen you, hone your talents, train you, and work alongside you to make sure the project is a roaring success. On the completion of the project, the students will be rewarded with a Certificate of Internship and/or grades/credits wherever applicable, along with a stipend remuneration for their participation in the programme.
To be a part of the project, all you need to do is, commit to 3 weeks of training and 17 weeks of on ground activity (not more than thrice a week). Now, fill the form and tell us what your super powers are!

a) Crafty Fingers; if you're good at art & craft activities and/or drawing, sketching, painting and the likes.
b) Psychic Communication; if you're good at communicating with children and adults, love working in groups, and can conduct fun activities.
c) DocuMentalism; if you're brilliant at documenting the happenings, collating data, interpreting and analysing it and creating impact reports. If the task looks daunting, worry naught... Captain Hindsight will always be there to help. :P
d) Media Vision; if you're good at photography and/or videography, are good at editing, and can document the programme on various media.
e) Gandalfism; if you're a born leader, can bring people together and can lead by example. If you think you can coordinate with pockets of teams and take onus, you're our man (or woman)!
